This article presents a summary of a master’s research that proposes innovative solutions for heritage education in the municipality of Oeiras, with a particular focus on the Prehistoric Settlement of Leceia. The research centers on integrating archaeological heritage into local school educational practices, aiming to explore collective memories and strengthen cultural identities. The study also analyzes pedagogical methodologies that use heritage as an educational resource, promoting greater student engagement with the history and culture of their community. The conclusions highlight the importance of an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach for the success of heritage education initiatives, proposing practical strategies for their effective implementation.
