Armas, lugares e homens: Aspectos das práticas simbólicas na Primeira Idade do Bronze

Abstract

According to Susana Oliveira Jorge (AAVV, 1995), the two peninsular Bronze Ages (first and second or Late Bronze Age) are distinguished, in last instance, of other stages of prehistoric Peasant Societies by the succession of different “discourses of power”. We argue here, hoping to demonstrate it, that such “powers” more then being expressed as a coercive imposition result, in a logic of “a violence without violence”, of the acceptance of successive forms of regulation and symbolic expression - the “speeches” - made visible not only through their iconographic expressions, but perceivable and identifiable through the socio-cultural analysis of the respective societies.
